We are offering a very rare opportunity. An established specialist nursery and attractive house on 5 acres adjacent to a Central Tablelands village. So hard to leave, but it is time for us to retire, move on and pass what we have created into other capable hands. We set out to establish a horticultural business on our picturesque property, and achieved not just a profitable business but also a very stimulating, flexible and enjoyable lifestyle.
The business we have established is a perennial nursery and plant farm with a difference. All our plants are field grown and lifted open rooted as required during the cooler months. The Nursery during the summer months consists of many beds of flowering plants, the result is stunning, and this is the display period for clients wishing to visit.
The Nursery forms part of our environment. From our home the vista is a large established garden, nursery beyond and expansive rural views. The house is a modernised country style cottage, and has been extensively renovated and extended. The renovations encourage semi outdoor dining and beautiful views from most windows. The best views are from the bathtub in the large new bathroom! The house consists of 2 double bedrooms, small study or third bedroom, one bathroom, two toilets, large living room, formal dining room, modern kitchen, office, enclosed garden room, rear and front decks.
Below the house is a separate shed consisting of two car bays, large nursery work section and storage area. All plant and equipment involved in the production and delivery of plants will be included in the sale.
The Nursery and Plant farm has been established 10 years and has earned a reputation for quality, quantity, service and value for money and continues to build on its large client base throughout Eastern Australia. We are constantly amazed at how far our reputation has spread, and our clients include those involved in large country garden projects, gardens in areas such as the Blue Mountains and Southern Highland to smaller innovative city and town gardens.
Apart from the clients with whom we have hands on experience or personal contact, we have developed a far-reaching mail order business extending north through Queensland and south through Victoria and South Australia. We have received many positive comments on the excellent condition in which our mail order plants arrive. We have been offering about 430 different perennials for sale each season.
This business presents the new owners with many opportunities for untapped growth and diversification. We are continually invited to attended plant fairs and lifestyle events as exhibitors providing a wonderful avenue to promote the Nursery. The opportunity also exists for those with a passion for flowers to take advantage of the amazing array of choices the plant farm produces to develop a flower venture. An excellent water supply makes all things possible!
A database details our extensive perennial collection and provides sufficient information for propagation, plant identification, catalogues, website and invoicing.
Location, location, situated on the Central Tablelands, we are definitely not isolated. On the outskirts of a small village, 25k and 40k from two large country cities and 15k from a smaller centre with a supermarket. Access to school bus services is available and both cities have private and public schools and universities. Daily mail, paper delivery and broadband results in convenient living.
NB.
We have carefully structured our business to accommodate both the needs of the Plant Farm and recreational time for ourselves. It has not been 24/7, but seasonal and flexible, demanding at times and less so at other times. Obviously, we will be able to explain the work cycle more fully to you on contact.
Some nurseries have experienced difficult times during the past few dry years, but due to the adaptability, wide range and versatility of our plants, our business does not seem to suffer any ill effects from adverse weather patterns. This is the nature of the Plant Farm.
